An application for the renewal of temporary residence shall be filed in person in an official form at a police department at the latest on the last day of temporary residence validity.
Should the validity of your temporary, permanent or tolerated residence expire during the crisis situation or within one month of the situation being revoked, your residence will not expire. Its validity will be extended until two months after the revocation of a crisis situation.

- Statutory declaration on provision of accommodation – it must not be older than 90 days
- Trade License Register Extract – it must not be older than 90 days
- Health insurance document – it must not be older than 90 days
- Confirmation from tax office proving income after taxation for previous fiscal year at least in the amount of 20-times the subsistence minimum, i.e. until 30.06.2021 in the amount of 4296,60 EURO
- Administrative fee – 132,50 EURO
Foreigner who was granted temporary residence for the purpose of business must not have debts against the tax office, customs office, debts on social insurance contributions and the health insurance company does not record overdue receivables from him/her related to the business activities and to all the other trading companies on behalf of which he/she is acting on the day of filing the application for renewal of temporary residence for the purposes of business. If a third country national is not a tax payer or is not obliged to pay social insurance contributions, he/she shall attach a document which proves this fact.
A police department renew temporary residence within 90 days. It is required to pay for collection ID card 4,50 EURO or 24,50 EURO (ID card will be prepared within two working days). It is required to pay 3 EURO for ID card delivery.
Police department can ask to file in questionnaire, which will have questions on business activity in Slovakia. It can also ask to submit contracts and invoices proving business activity in Slovakia.
